FM to Perform at NEARfest 2006
Cameron Hawkins and Martin Deller are pleased to announce they will be performing at NEARfest 2006, the North East Art Rock Festival on Saturday, June 24th, 2006 in Bethlehem, PA. NEARfest is a two-day event celebrating the resurgence of art rock and eclectic music in the United States and around the world. The event is held annually in early summer in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, one hour north of Philadelphia. The festival was founded in the spring of 1998 by Robert LaDuca and Chad Hutchinson, with the first event occurring in 1999. NEARfest has quickly grown to become "the most prestigious progressive music festival in the world." "Rob LaDuca had contacted me in previous years to see if there was any hope of FM re-uniting to play NEARfest," said Martin Deller. "He asked us again if we wanted to play the 2005 show and we declined." "But unbeknownst to Rob, Cam and I were exploring the idea of putting FM back together. Neither Nash, nor Ben were interested but we thought, let's see if he'll agree to the two of us and we'll figure out how we'll do it later." "When I asked him about next year's show - he immediately said 'yes, you're booked'." "It will be ten years since FM has performed - everyone's excited!" |
