Dear You:

This website is for you - you're a progressive rock music fan.

We are FM. Cameron Hawkins and Martin Deller.

Many years ago we made records and toured across North America. Eventually, we became frustrated with the ups and downs of the music business and FM broke up.

But now there's a way for us to reach you - and for you to reach us. This website.

So we are going to start making music again. We're going to sell this music directly to you - completely bypassing the record retailers. We're doing this because we've never really ever gotten paid, doing it the old way. Although we know for a fact that you paid someone for our records.

We think there's some really interesting things we can do together - you and us. And we are looking forward to experimenting and collaborating and just generally mixing it up.

For instance:

• We're going to record a new CD this fall
• We think new technologies like surround sound are awesome and we'd like to be able to release our songs in a variety of formats
• We'd like to put all our old LP's on CD and make them available, too
• And we've got some old recordings that were never released

In fact, we don't see any reason why we have to make CD's - we could just put music on the website for you to download.

We know that many of you liked our music and wrote to us and never heard back. We don't want that to happen again. We want to hear from you and we encourage you use the Questions and Comments link at the bottom of this page.
